Who We Are.
McDonald General Store is conveniently located off of hwy 49N in Concord, NC, directly beside the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center. We are devoted to supplying large and small animal feeds, general animal products, work wear, apparel, and hunting accessories.
The store has been family owned and operated by the Mcdonald family since 1981. Originally, the store was no more than an animal feed warehouse with a small inventory of pet and livestock products. In 2004, the store was remodeled and gained a larger showroom floor, and a much larger warehouse storage area.
Since the reopening of the store we try our very best to have something to fit the needs of every customer that walks through our doors. Along with a variety of feeds from trusted brands like Purina Mills, Blue Seal, and Midstate, we now have a wide range of apparel from well known brands like Carrhart and Wrangler, boot brands such as Ariat, Justin, Rocky, and Georgia, and hunting brands like Nitelight and Muck Boot.
As well as being knowledgable in nutrition, medical, and all other fundamentals related to your specific animals needs, our employees will help you make the most out of your visit with us. From horse and livestock, to family pets and small animals, we have what you are looking for!
